Recurring Issues

Common problems reported by multiple verified buyers

Weight

79 mentions

At 23kg, the Delta 2 Max is too heavy for most people to carry alone. While it has handles, moving it between floors or in and out of vehicles typically requires two people or a hand truck.

Fan Noise Under Load

52 mentions

When drawing more than 1000W, the cooling fan becomes audible. In quiet settings (bedroom power backup, quiet camping), the fan noise can be disruptive, particularly during overnight use.

App Connectivity Drops

31 mentions

The EcoFlow app occasionally loses connection to the station's Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, requiring a restart of the app or the station's wireless module. Mostly cosmetic but annoying for remote monitoring.

Kept my family comfortable through a 36-hour outage

Verified
By Patricia M.Owned 10 monthsintermediate user2025-11-29

Pros

  • +Ran our fridge and critical devices through a 36-hour outage
  • +50-minute fast charge means it's always ready
  • +LiFePO4 gives me confidence it'll last years

Cons

  • -Very heavy — needed my neighbor's help to move it
  • -Fan is loud when the fridge compressor kicks on

Last winter a severe storm knocked out our power for 36 hours. The Delta 2 Max kept our refrigerator running the entire time, powered our internet router, charged all our devices, and ran a CPAP machine for my husband. We still had 30% capacity when the grid came back. I charged it to full in an hour the next morning. This product genuinely has value beyond convenience — for families with medical equipment or food sensitivity, reliable power backup is essential. The weight is a real challenge but we keep it on a furniture dolly for easy movement.

Van life essential — solar charges it faster than I can use it

Verified
By Jordan T.Owned 7 monthsintermediate user2025-12-20

Pros

  • +1000W solar input handles my two 500W panels perfectly
  • +Powers my induction cooktop and laptop simultaneously
  • +App remote monitoring is great when I forget to check manually

Cons

  • -Took two people to load into the van initially
  • -Fan noise is noticeable while cooking

I've been full-time van life for 7 months and the Delta 2 Max is the heart of my mobile power system. With two 400W panels on my roof (EcoFlow's own panels), I almost never run below 60% capacity even with daily induction cooking, laptop work, and climate control. The 1000W solar input capability means I can expand my panel array if I need more power. The weight was my only real installation challenge — my partner and I barely managed to lift it into the van. But once installed on a shelf, we haven't needed to move it. Essential kit for serious van dwellers.

Outstanding but the weight is a genuine limitation

Verified
By Robert H.Owned 5 monthsexpert user2026-01-23

Pros

  • +Expandable capacity future-proofs the investment
  • +Output power handles everything I throw at it
  • +Build quality is professional grade

Cons

  • -23kg is too heavy for one person in most situations
  • -Price premium over Jackery and Bluetti is hard to justify

I own power stations from EcoFlow, Jackery, and Bluetti for comparison testing. The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max is technically the most impressive — fastest charging, most expandable, most output ports. But the weight is genuinely limiting. At 23kg, this requires a dolly or two people to move. For a garage backup unit that never moves, that's fine. For campsite use, it's problematic. The Jackery 1000 Plus at 14.5kg is much more manageable for transport while still having excellent capacity. The fast charging is EcoFlow's genuine differentiator — 50 minutes to 80% is extraordinary for this capacity class.
