EcoFlow Delta 2 Max

Last winter a severe storm knocked out our power for 36 hours. The Delta 2 Max kept our refrigerator running the entire time, powered our internet router, charged all our devices, and ran a CPAP machine for my husband. We still had 30% capacity when the grid came back. I charged it to full in an hour the next morning. This product genuinely has value beyond convenience — for families with medical equipment or food sensitivity, reliable power backup is essential. The weight is a real challenge but we keep it on a furniture dolly for easy movement.

I've been full-time van life for 7 months and the Delta 2 Max is the heart of my mobile power system. With two 400W panels on my roof (EcoFlow's own panels), I almost never run below 60% capacity even with daily induction cooking, laptop work, and climate control. The 1000W solar input capability means I can expand my panel array if I need more power. The weight was my only real installation challenge — my partner and I barely managed to lift it into the van. But once installed on a shelf, we haven't needed to move it. Essential kit for serious van dwellers.

I own power stations from EcoFlow, Jackery, and Bluetti for comparison testing. The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max is technically the most impressive — fastest charging, most expandable, most output ports. But the weight is genuinely limiting. At 23kg, this requires a dolly or two people to move. For a garage backup unit that never moves, that's fine. For campsite use, it's problematic. The Jackery 1000 Plus at 14.5kg is much more manageable for transport while still having excellent capacity. The fast charging is EcoFlow's genuine differentiator — 50 minutes to 80% is extraordinary for this capacity class.
