Best bang for buck standing desk I've found

Verified
By Carlos M.Owned 11 monthsintermediate user2025-09-30

Pros

  • +Super stable — zero wobble at standing height
  • +Assembly was easier than IKEA furniture
  • +Customer service replaced a faulty preset board within 3 days

Cons

  • -Wish cable management was included
  • -Surface could be more scratch-resistant

I researched standing desks for two months before buying the Branch. It was the best-reviewed desk in the $700-800 range and it's lived up to that reputation. After almost a year of daily use, the frame is rock solid and all four memory presets fire perfectly every time. Assembly took me 40 minutes with basic tools. The only thing I'd change is including a cable tray — I had to buy one separately. For the price, I don't think you can do better.

Good desk, desktop scratches too easily

Verified
By Natalie F.Owned 6 monthsintermediate user2026-01-18

Pros

  • +Stable and accurate height transitions
  • +Good height range for my 6'1" frame
  • +Fast electric motor

Cons

  • -Surface shows scratches from mouse use after 3 months
  • -No cable solution included
  • -Pricier than FlexiSpot for similar specs

Mechanically the Branch desk is excellent — it's stable, quiet, and the motor is fast. My main gripe is the surface. After six months of daily use with a mouse, there are visible micro-scratches around the mouse area. I've added a large desk mat which helps, but I shouldn't need to protect a $800 desk surface. The Uplift V2 uses a harder laminate that handles daily abuse better. Branch needs to improve the surface material at this price point.

Transformed my work-from-home health

Declared
By Angela T.Owned 8 monthsbeginner user2025-11-12

Pros

  • +Sits at perfect heights for both sitting and standing
  • +3-year back pain is mostly gone
  • +Easy to adjust throughout the day

Cons

  • -Initial setup instructions could be clearer
  • -Wish it had an anti-collision feature

I had chronic lower back pain from 3 years of sitting at a fixed desk. After 8 months with the Branch standing desk, the pain is 80% gone. I alternate between sitting and standing roughly every 45 minutes using the memory presets, and the difference to my wellbeing has been significant. The desk itself is reliable and well-built. I recommend it to every WFH colleague I have. This is a health investment, not just an office purchase.
