Autonomous SmartDesk Pro

I chose the SmartDesk Pro primarily for its looks — and it does look fantastic in my home office. The white frame with walnut top gets compliments. But the wobble at my standing height (44 inches) is genuinely distracting. My monitor sways visibly when I type aggressively. I've added stabilizing feet which helped somewhat, but at this price I expected better. The desktop also scratched within the first week from my keyboard sliding. Looks 10/10, performance 6/10.

Here's the irony: this standing desk works best as a sitting desk. At my sitting height (28 inches), it's rock solid. But the moment I go to standing height (45 inches), the wobble starts. It's not catastrophic, but when you're staring at a monitor all day, that subtle movement creates eye strain. If you primarily sit and occasionally stand, it's fine. If you stand 4+ hours daily like I do, spend the extra $150-200 on an Uplift V2.

Autonomous runs sales constantly and I grabbed this for $370 (regularly $529). At that price, it's a no-brainer. Yes, there's some wobble when standing, but I'm only 5'8" so my standing height is 40 inches — wobble is minimal there. Assembly took 35 minutes solo. For anyone watching the price, wait for a sale and this becomes the best value standing desk available.
