Bulk and Counter Space

51 mentions

With the sound enclosure, the Super Q is one of the largest blenders on the market. It may not fit under standard kitchen cabinets in some kitchens.

The Vitamix killer I've been waiting for

Verified
By Hannah B.Owned 1 yearexpert user2025-08-05

Pros

  • +Blends as well as Vitamix at half the noise
  • +Vacuum feature genuinely improves smoothie freshness
  • +Presets work perfectly every time

Cons

  • -Short 2-year warranty vs Vitamix 7 years
  • -Takes up significant counter space

I owned a Vitamix A3500 for four years before switching to the Breville Super Q. Blending performance is identical — truly. But the Super Q is whisper-quiet with the enclosure. I can blend at 5am and nobody in my house hears it. The vacuum pump is not a gimmick: my green smoothies stay green all day in the fridge instead of turning brown by noon. The 2-year warranty versus Vitamix's 7-year is the only real concern. But as an experience? The Super Q wins.

Outstanding but doesn't fit under my cabinets

Pros

  • +Incredibly quiet
  • +Every smoothie is perfect
  • +Vacuum function is legitimately useful

Cons

  • -Too tall with lid — hits my cabinets
  • -Store in pantry instead of counter
  • -Annoying extra cleaning step for vacuum pump

Everything about this blender is excellent except it doesn't fit under my standard kitchen cabinets when assembled. I have 18 inches of clearance and the Super Q with enclosure is exactly 19.5 inches. So it lives in my pantry and I pull it out to blend, which makes spontaneous use less likely. For a premium blender, this is an unfortunate design oversight. I'd give 5 stars if they offered a version without the enclosure for tall kitchen configurations.

Worth every penny for daily blenders

Declared
By Christine A.Owned 8 monthsintermediate user2026-02-08

Pros

  • +Preset programs are perfectly calibrated
  • +No more guessing on speed and time
  • +Quietest powerful blender I've used

Cons

  • -Price is hard to justify initially
  • -Heavier than expected

I make two smoothies and one soup per day. After 8 months with the Super Q, I have no complaints. The preset programs are genuinely accurate — I press Smoothie and it does exactly the right sequence. The 68 oz container handles large batch prep. The noise with the sound enclosure is shockingly low — about the same as a conversation. For serious daily blenders, the cost per year over a 10-year lifespan is very reasonable. Highly recommended.
