Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones

I have owned six pairs of over-ear headphones and nothing comes close to the QC Ultra for comfort. I forget I'm wearing them after a few minutes. I work from home and spend 4-5 hours a day on video calls — the microphone quality is outstanding. Every call partner comments on how clear I sound compared to other headsets. The CustomTune ANC tuned to my ear shape made a noticeable difference from the first use. My only real complaint is battery life — 24 hours is still very good, but the XM5's 30 hours is hard to ignore at a similar price.

I've tested pretty much every major flagship headphone and the QC Ultra earns its place at the top for ANC and comfort. The CustomTune calibration is clever and genuinely effective. However, I turned off Immersive Audio after about an hour — it adds an unnatural spaciousness that sounds impressive for five minutes and then becomes fatiguing. The Bose app is also surprisingly basic compared to Sony's offering. But for the core job — blocking noise and sounding good — these deliver.

My employer asked me to get a decent headset for remote work and I splurged on these. Best decision ever. My team constantly comments on how much clearer I sound compared to my old headset, and the noise cancellation means I can work from my kitchen without hearing family noise. I had no idea headphones could be this comfortable — I honestly sometimes forget I'm wearing them. The price was a shock initially, but productivity improvement is worth it for me.
